Parchute Factory

Parachute Factory is a community Makerspace in rural Las Vegas, NM. We are home to Hacker Scouts Guild #005, and some of the greatest makers in the state!

Parachute Factory will showcase projects projects from our space and our Hacker Scouts Guild.

“For our workshop we will teach 3D scanning and printing using an X-Box Kinect, ReconstructMe, and our PrintrBot 3D Printer. The workshop will be led by Mariano Ulibarri, Parachute Factory’s Director, with help from several of our Hacker Scouts. Guests will learn the basics of 3D capture and printing, and have a chance to be scanned in 3D and uploaded to Thingiverse!”

Maker Profiles: Knight Blue Designs

Wow, the Makers are just rolling in and we want to take the time to introduce you to all of them, so here it goes…

Knight Blue Designs

From chain mail to felt and clay Knight Blue Designs knows how to create full costumes and articles for any Comic Con, LARP (Live Action Role Playing), or event…

“We create custom costumes, set design and propmaking. Sewing a costume or building a prop depends on budget, detail, deadline, and the materials and capabilities available in our creation lair.  Creating costumes and props exactly from the artwork of a 2D or 3D cartoon can be intricate and takes time to bring it to reality. Almost everything we create was created custom for each specific client.”
