About the faire
Much (but not all) of the Faire is outside in tents. We encourage you to bring drinking water and sunscreen. There is plenty of grass for a blanket to set up a base camp for your family. Strollers are allowed, however they can be difficult to maneuver on the grass and in busy tents.
Local food trucks are on site for food and drinks.
Some Makers sell what they make and some Makers charge material fees for the item you make and keep. The learn to solder kits will be sold at the Maker Store.
What day and hours will Albuquerque Mini Maker Faire be open to the public?
August 29 & 30, 2015
Saturday the 29th, 10:00am – 6:00pm, ticket booth opens at 9:30
Sunday the 30th, 11:00am – 5:00pm. ticket booth opens at 10:30
Wrist Bands & Waivers:
Maker booths are interactive. Attendees wishing to interact with the individual booths, will need a wrist band. Wrist bands are obtained on site with a release form. If your minor child will be attending the Faire without a legal guardian, a release must be filled out.
Where can I park?
The Balloon Museum has great parking and there is also street parking close by and it is all FREE!
Where is the handicap parking located?
Handicap parking is available in the Museum parking lot and both the Maker Faire and the Balloon Museum are handicap friendly!
Is public transportation available?
Limited Public Transport check with ABQ Transit
Will you have bike parking?
If you plan to ride your bike please indicate that when you purchase your tickets. If you have already purchased your tickets but have decided to ride you bike, please let us know so we have plenty of bike parking ready at the Museum. Contact Charel at Albuquerque-MiniMakerFaire

What if it rains?
The show will go on! Bring rain gear to keep you dry when walking outdoors. Fortunately, we will have many exhibits in tents to keep the family dry. But after all, we are in New Mexico and a little rain is a really good thing!
What can I expect?
There will be a lot to see and much of what you see – you can do or make!
Parents, ABQ Maker Faire is a great opportunity for you and your children to work together and enjoy learning together. Don’t miss this chance to learn together.
To have a fantastic time! You’ll be surprised and intrigued with every corner that you turn.
What should I know?
Some hands on projects may have a cost for materials you will use. Our makers work very hard to keep the materials costs as low as possible but we also want you to have an amazing day so bring some extra money to cover these costs. And there are a number of hands-on experiences that are included in your ticket for the ABQ Maker Faire.
Come and spend the day. We have several of ABQ’s best food trucks and a lot to do. Or bring a picnic lunch and when you are hungry you can bring it into the grass area and enjoy your lunch.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
No ID required but for those between 16 -18 will need a parent to sign their Release Form to participate in hands-on activities. If your parents are dropping you off please print this form and bring it with you. Click here for the Release Form.
What can/can’t I bring to the event?
No pets please. And no food or bottled water inside the Museum. Once you have checked in you can return to your car and bring in food through the side gate. You will need your wrist band to return to the Faire.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, if you can’t attend please pass it to another maker.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes, we are fine with the ticket being passed to someone if the original person can’t make it. However, we do check people in by the registration name so only one person will be allowed in on one registration.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, check your confirmation email for instructions.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, but it speeds up the process!
What is the refund policy?
Rain or Shine. No Refunds/Exchanges. Tickets cannot be replaced.
